Helping Hands Hospitality Meal

Our parish was asked to help Newburg United Methodist Church during their Hospitality week. Our Knights of Columbus council took the lead for the dinner and served a Mexican fiesta! Here are the men of our council prepping the food the night before at the parish.

The night of the dinner at Newburg United Methodist Church we had a great turn out of people will to work! Our Helping Hands Hospitality dinner was a huge success. We passed out finger rosaries and prayer cards to all the guests and our Worthy Advocate and Lecturer  Jerry Borycz lead a talk on the topic of “the Potter and Clay” to the guests after dinner.

2018 Fall MI Drive (Tootsie Roll Drive)

Deputy Grand Knight William Wendling, our MI Drive chairman, reports we received a total of $1,076.01 for our annual Fall Tootsie Roll Drive! We later received a $100.00 donation. This brings the total to $1,181.86! Way to go, everyone, I’m sure everyone at Angels’ Place will appreciate it!

Eucharistic Adoration and Prayer

Fr. Ken writes, “tonight, we will have a time of prayer for the church, the victim-survivors of abuse, the sanctification of bishops, priests and all those who work in the church.”

“Feel free to stop in for a few moments of prayer, or stay the whole time.”

“…the Eucharist will be exposed in adoration. We will start with a Bible reading and then continue in silence. We will ask that no one prays aloud as to give everyone the chance to pray as they wish.”

Our Knights of Columbus council is honored to donate prayer books to be used during this important prayer services.
