We hope to see you this weekend for Mass on the Grass in the front yard of Saint Mary, Cause of Our Joy! Mass begins at noon with our parish picnic following directly after in our social hall! Our council will be grilling hot dogs and providing delicious watermelons!
The weather is expected to be warm – around 80 degrees! We hope to see you there!
Our brother knight, Deacon Derik Peterman become Fr. Derik Peterman this afternoon!
Today we witnessed the baptism of Atreus Lee Nunn. We were proud to give him a Casey Bear and a Certificate of Welcome! May God bless him and his family with health and happiness!
Our Texas Roadhouse fundraiser is Monday! We are going to be there from 4-10pm! Come for dinner and give your server the ‘donation paper’ – 10% of your dinner will go to support the Knights of Columbus! You can find a copy of the paper in this week’ Joyful News at church. We’ll post a smaller black and white flyer you can print in the comments! Thank you for your support!
We are also having a Bake Sale! We could use all the baked goods possible to make sure our Fundraiser and Bake Sale is a success!
Texas Roadhouse is celebrating their anniversary and they have awesome gifts and prizes for you! All you have to do is take the UNOPENED prize envelope to the restaurant on May 20th and give it to your server! They will open it and let you know what prize you’ve won! We will be at Noon Mass on Sunday, just ask one of the guys in black KofC shirts for a prize envelope! Please only take one if you plan on going for dinner on Monday!
We had around 70 people for our 2019 Silver Rose Prayer Service! Thank you to all of our brother Knights for making this a great event! And a big thank you to our parish music director Steve Reyes for leading our service and singing Ave Maria for our service!
With the Silver Rose was a replica of the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe blessed by Pope Benedict XVI in 2011, touched to the tilma of Juan Diego, and sealed with dirt from Tepeyac Hill the site where Saint Juan Diego met the Virgin of Guadalupe in December 1531, and received the iconic image of the Lady of Guadalupe. The Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe located there is one of the most visited Catholic shrines in the world.
