The Chaplain provides spiritual guidance and direction to the Council. The Chaplain is selected by the Grand Knight, Deputy Grand Knight and the three Trustees on an annual basis in accordance with the rules of the Bishop of the diocese. His jewel is the Isabella Cross in silver and blue suspended from a black ribbon. The Chaplain’s Ceremonial Office Robe is black with black trimming and a yoke with white projecting collar. The cincture is black with silver fringe.
Fr. Ken Mazur, a native Detroiter, was the Regional Superior of PIME in the U.S. from 2005 to 2015. He had been in Japan for 13 years before being asked to return to the United States.
He was appointed by Archbishop Allen Vigneron to serve as pastor of Saint Mary, Cause of Our Joy Catholic Church in Westland, Michigan.
Fr. Ken is a fourth degree knight. In 2014, he was appointed STATE FATHER PRIOR for the Michigan State Squires Circle Serving the entire State of Michigan.
