Fall Gravesite Cleanup
Our council cleaned up the gravesites of over 50 St. Mary, Cause of Our Joy families.
Eva’s Baptism
We were honored to present Eva a Casey Bear on the occasion of her baptist this afternoon at St. Mary, Cause of Our Joy!
2019 Special Olympics Fall Games
We passed out Tootsie Rolls at the 2019 Opening Ceremony of the Special Olympics Fall Games representing Msgr. Kohler Council of Westland, MI!
Our Hungry Howies Fundraiser

Lee Borycz, Rest in the Peace of the Lord
We are sad to lose our beloved Lee Borycz, the wife of our Worthy Advocate Jerry Borycz. Lee was a huge part of our council family and we will miss her greatly.
Her funeral will be at the parish at noon this Saturday, September 7th. She will have a Scripture Service at Griffin Funeral Home in Livonia on Friday, at 6:30pm.
Eternal rest grant unto her,
O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.
May she rest in peace.
2019 Parish Picnic
We had a great Mass on the Grass and Parish Picnic this year! Thanks to all the brother Knights who helped us all make it happen!
2019 Mass on the Grass
This weekend will be our annual Mass in the Grass and Parish Picnic!
We hope to see you this weekend for Mass on the Grass in the front yard of Saint Mary, Cause of Our Joy! Mass begins at noon with our parish picnic following directly after in our social hall! Our council will be grilling hot dogs and providing delicious watermelons!
The weather is expected to be warm – around 80 degrees! We hope to see you there!
Gregory Rapelje Retires
We are sad to report our dear Field Agent, SK Gregory Rapelje retired from his office with Supreme Council as the Field Agent for North-West Wayne County.
Greg has been a close from of our council since before we moved to St. Mary, Cause of Our Joy! We will miss him as our Field Agent, but we look forward to spending more time with him as our brother Knight!

Knights of Columbus donate 185 million in 2018!
KNIGHTS DONATE $185.7 MILLION TO CHARITY IN 2018
The K of C has announced that it gave $185.7 million to charity and donated 76.7 million hours of hands-on service in 2018. Contained in the annual fraternal survey, it demonstrates once again that charity is the first principle of the Knights of Columbus.
“Regardless of how or who the Knights serve, it’s the chance to help those who are unable to help themselves and to be of assistance to the sick or disabled that is at the heart of what being a Knight is all about,” said Knights of Columbus Supreme Knight Carl A. Anderson.
The Knights’ charitable giving comes from three sources: direct fundraising, the funds raised by thousands of local Knights councils in their communities and from the Knights’ insurance operations.

We also have a great youth program and a religious education department! If you’re looking for a church that’s a welcoming and warm would love to have you join our parish family! First Angels’ Place 2019 Donation
Our MI Drive Chairman William Wendling, SK visited Angels’ Place to give them a check from our last Tootsie Roll Drive.

New ultrasound machines in Michigan
Thank you to everyone who donated to the Knights of Columbus Ultrasound Initiative! We were able to buy two new ultrasound machines in Michigan and women like Talya choose life because of it!
